As the leading regional communications provider in Western Wyoming and Eastern Idaho, Silver Star Communications is dedicated to the optimal operation of its network facilities.  Silver Star provides a high level of service reliability and customer responsiveness; it is committed to ensuring service disruptions are limited in time and scope.

A necessary element of ensuring Silver Star’s operations function at optimal levels at all times is the development of a Business Continuity Plan (BCP).   Silver Star’s BCP is an ever-evolving, flexible yet functional plan that addresses adverse effects on business operations in the event of an unforeseen business interruption. As a communications carrier, not only are we required to maintain certain operational standards, we are driven to take these standards to the next level – it is what we do every day in providing communications services to our customers.

Silver Star’s redundant network design and virtual computing platforms with fail-over capabilities, provide for seamless operations between multiple business locations. This enables us to maintain continuity of critical operations in the event of a disaster or other business interruption event. Silver Star’s BCP includes, among other things, outage classifications to set in motion restoration procedures, information sharing, alternate communication with employees and customers, communications with vendors and regulators, alternate locations for operational activities, and the identification (and proper handling) of certain actions as cyberattacks.
