Congratulations to Star Valley Caring for Community donation recipients

At Silver Star Communications we are serious about being a good neighbor – both in terms of the services we provide as well as giving back to the communities where our customers and employees live. In addition to sponsorships and scholarships, our Caring for Community Program provides financial support to local non-profits who serve our communities. Applications are accepted every January and February and awards made in March.

…And, with that, we are please to announce our Star Valley Caring for Community Award Recipients!

Teton Area Climb Wyoming – to support the comprehensive training phase of the Teton Area Climb program model which includes job skills, life skills and therapeutic support.

Horse Warriors  – in support of their youth and family art programs.

Thayne Senior Center – to purchase 4 wireless microphones and cabinet as part of upgrading their sound system.

Afton Food Pantry – in support of their program to address the needs of the greater Afton area residents who require an emergency supply of food at no cost to them.

North Lincoln County Early Childhood Coalition – to support their efforts to educate the community on the importance of reading, support their summer food program, as well as establish parenting classes and play groups.

The Turning Point – to fund client emergency expenditures, which are used to assist victims who want to leave their abusive situation to live violence free lives with their children.

Lucky’s Place – To put tops on dog kennels so dogs wont climb over and injure themselves.

Star Valley Senior Citizens, Inc. – in support of their free birthday meal program. Salt River Center provides one free meal to their senior clients who come into the center in the month of their birthday.

Lincoln County 4-H – to assist in travel costs for members to attend Showcase Showdown in Laramie; educational.

Lincoln Self Reliance  –  to provide opportunities for adults with intellectual disabilities and acquired brain injuries to participate in the summer and fall Wyoming Special Olympics.

Uinta Senior Citizens – North Lincoln Co In-home Services – to provide in-home services to seniors in Lincoln County.
