Announcing Caring for Community Soda Springs Recipients

By Silver Star on March 13, 2018 | No Responses. Be the first.

Representatives from Soda Springs non-profits collected their Caring for Community checks.

Silver Star Communications has been providing funds to the communities it serves for almost seventy years. We are grateful for and support local organizations that work to make our communities healthy, sustainable places to live and work.

One of the ways that we show our support is through our Caring for Community Program , which provides financial support to local non-profits who serve our communities. The program is open  annually from January through mid-February with awards being given in March.

This year all non-profit organizations in Rexburg, Soda Springs, Star Valley, Swan Valley and Teton Valley were invited to apply.

We are proud to be able to donate $22,000 to the local non-profit organizations in those service areas!

Over the next few days, we will announce the recipients, share pictures of them as they receive their checks, and provide links to their online information (if available) so that you can see the amazing work they do for their community for yourself!

Let’s get started with our Soda Springs, Idaho recipients!

Caribou Senior Citizens – Awarded funds to build a secure office space within their building.

Friends of the Soda Springs Library – Awarded funds to add a self-serve charging station for patrons to charge their mobile devices while at the library.

South Eastern Idaho Community Action Agency – For emergency utility/rental expenses, educational and work related equipment and fees for families in need.

Grace Legion Post 50 – For building repairs.

Caribou Highland Strings – For repairs to musical equipment.

Congratulations to you all! We appreciate your hard work and dedication to our community!
