Outage in Rigby

UPDATE 10:30pm This outage has been resolved. If you are still experiencing difficulty, try power cycling your equipment. Then give us a call at 877.883.2411. UPDATE 8:00 pm A new cabinet and equipment is being placed on site in Rigby and services are estimated to return near midnight tonight. OUTAGE 2:30 pm There is a large outage affecting customers in Rigby due to vehicle damage to a distribution cabinet. Techs are investigating repairs and an estimated time of service return. Updates will be posted here.

Meet the Team: Interview with Rachel Timmons

Welcome to another edition of our employee-focused web series – Meet the Team! In this installment, we have the pleasure of introducing you to Rachel Timmons, Technical Support Specialist in Freedom, WY!

Rachel loves all things “tech” – which makes her a perfect fit for Silver Star! From the latest and greatest in tech gadgets to super technical information on internet and telephone service delivery, Rachel’s curiosity is piqued. In fact, it is this thirst for knowledge, along with her determination and positive attitude that have made her a valuable member of our Silver Star team.

Interview with Rachel Timmons

How long have you worked for Silver Star?

I have worked at Silver Star for 6 years – just under 4 years as a Retail Sales Consultant and the last 2 years in Service Center/Technical Support.

What does your job entail?

My department assists customers that call in with technical support questions. We also assign equipment and provision services for each customer – meaning, we assign the lines in the ground, and the other equipment, that will carry internet and phone service to the customer.

What do you love most about your job?

I love learning new things every day.

What do you love most about the community you live in?

How friendly everyone is!

What is something unique about you?

I tell really horrible “Dad” jokes.  They are so bad that people laugh at me at how bad the joke really is, rather than the joke.

What’s your favorite hobby?

I love to read!  I love reading so much that I listen to books whenever I am not sitting and reading a book … that way I can read even more.

I would go back to the beginning and see the Garden of Eden.

I am a “no animals if I have to care for them” sort of person.  My family has a cat and a dog.
