Press Release: Silver Star Participates in the Idaho Falls Residential Fiber Program

Idaho Falls, ID, March 6, 2019 – Silver Star Communications announced that they have signed an agreement with Idaho Falls Fiber to provide residential broadband services as part of the Idaho Falls Fiber Pilot Program.

The initial phase of the program includes approximately 300 residences in the South Park Addition. Subsequent phases include the neighborhoods of Carriagegate, Waterford, Ridgewood Park, Bristol Heights, Canterbury Park, Victorian Village, and Stonebrook. The total program area will include about 1,300 households.

“Silver Star has been collaborating with the city to serve commercial customers since 2014 so we feel well prepared to provide residential broadband services within this program,” said Paul Petersen, Silver Star’s Director of Sales and Customer Service. “With customer service and broadband technicians ready and waiting at our Woodruff location, we are ready to take calls to get customers up and running with the fastest internet available in Idaho Falls,” Petersen added.

Silver Star is offering 250Mbps and 1Gbps symmetrical plans with upload speeds the same as download speeds. The company is also offering internet packages that include managed Wi-Fi and free on-site installation of a premium grade router which allows customers to use features such as parental controls and the ability to set up multiple in-home networks.
