Silver Star Communications follows account information and security regulations set by the Federal Trade Commission and Federal Communications Commission. Silver Star Communications takes protecting your privacy very seriously. To ensure your personal information is secure, we require that you create a security password to access your account. If you cannot provide a security password, we have additional measures in place to ensure only authorized persons may access your account.

Silver Star Communications retains and uses your account information only where it will help us provide you with better products and services. We do NOT share, sell or rent any information regarding your account to any other parties that is not already public knowledge. Silver Star may contact you by phone call, text message (SMS), or email regarding account-related communications, customer care messages, construction updates, service notifications, and promotional or marketing offers from Silver Star only, based on your provided consent. Even if you opt-in, we still pledge that we will not share your nonpublic information with others. When you use our services, including accessing our website and any mobile applications made available for use with those services (i.e., HomeZone), Silver Star may collect information about you, your mobile device and about your use. Information collected may include your name, email address, telephone number, location,  individually identifiable information such as password or your device MAC address or serial number. By providing your phone number, you consent to receive text (SMS) messages from Silver Star, which may include construction updates, service notifications, account-related communications, customer care messages, and promotional or marketing offers from Silver Star. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply.  Your consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase and you may opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP. For assistance, reply HELP or contact us directly. Silver Star may use third-party service providers to facilitate message delivery; however, these providers are only permitted to use your information to perform services on Silver Star’s behalf. Specifically with respect to the HomeZone App, when you install and register an account to use the App, in addition to the information listed above, Silver Star may collect and process information provided directly by you that includes: your phone or contacts data, your inventory of installed apps, a user’s screen recording(s) and users’ image information, browser information and session cookies related to your access and use of the App. Silver Star may use the information you provide to deliver the services you subscribe to, including any available Apps and their contents, any future releases or upgrades available to you, to carry out our obligations and enforcement rights as described in this Privacy Policy and Silver Star’s Terms of Service, and to fulfill any other purpose authorized by you and reasonably required to make available the services, including any available Apps.

Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI) is any non-public data we have on record about your use of our network and services, such as the types of subscribed services, the number of telephone lines you have and how much you use your services. We do not share with, rent or sell to others this information. This privacy notice applies to Silver Star Communications and Silver Star Long Distance.

As a Silver Star customer, you always retain the right to restrict the use of your information. If you opt in or opt out, this preference remains valid until you contact us to make a change or as otherwise required by applicable regulations. If you decide to opt out, this choice will not affect the services to which you currently subscribe. If you have not provided Silver Star with a security password and privacy verification information, you may be asked to do so the next time you contact us to access your account.
