Business System Technician

General Summary: Performs diagnostics, troubleshoots, services, repairs computers, network equipment, key systems, VOIP, peripherals, hardware/software.

Location: Teton Valley, Star Valley or Jackson

Essential Job Functions:

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, identify and resolve computer hardware/software, networking, or service related issues.
  • Perform hardware/software installations, services, and repairs at customer location or in the shop.
  • Upgrades computers, peripherals, network equipment and software applications e.g. installation, testing, configuring, etc.  
  • Make sales contacts, research customer needs and develop applications, products, and service solutions, develops and delivers sales presentations.  
  • Installs computer hardware/software, peripherals, and network equipment and application software.
  • Prepares a variety of written materials e.g. price quotes, work order reports, inventory control, procedures, etc.
  • Supports Company through use of products and services and proactively promoting it within the community.
  • Promotes and adheres to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

Experience / Requirements:

  • Requires an Associate’s degree in computer related field or equivalent or two years of relevant work experience; or combination of education and experience that encompasses all aspects of this position.
  • Two years of experience operating, maintaining, upgrading, and configuring computer hardware, software, and peripheral equipment in a local area network environment.
  • Actively participate in a team environment, fostering forward thinking, innovation, and creativity.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.  The ideal person for this job would display an exceptional customer focus with an emphasis on enhancing the customer experience and the ability to handle a high volume of phone calls in a structured environment.
  • Proven analytical skills, work requires continual attention to detail.  Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
  • Resourceful, roll up the sleeves attitude.  The successful candidate must have the initiative to resolve problems, seek answers independently, and enthusiastically persist until goals are achieved. 
  • Ability to be “on-call” as needed.
  • Ability to hold a valid Wyoming or Idaho Driver’s License.
