Call Forward Features

Call Forward

Forwards all calls to another number.

Call Forward Busy

Forwards calls to another number when your line is busy.

Call Forward No Answer

Forwards calls to another number when your line goes unanswered.

Call Forward Remote Access

Activate call forward while you are away from your office or home. Calls are subject to long distance charges.

Remote Call Forward

A local number is published, but calls are routed to another predetermined number. Calls subject to long distance charges.

Selective Call Forward

Program your phone to forward only specified calls from a list you create. Available in local service area only.

Caller ID / Call Waiting Features

Call Waiting

Put the first party on hold while you answer an incoming call.

Call Waiting / Caller ID

Combine Call Waiting and Caller ID to see the Caller ID information of the incoming call.

Caller ID

Records the time and Caller ID of incoming calls.

Caller ID Blocking

Used on a per call basis, the called party receives a "Private" identification instead of the calling party's number or name.

Caller ID Suppression

Designates a privacy status for your line on every call. The called party receives a "Private" identification instead of your name or number.

Automatic Call Back

Your phone will continue to redial a busy number until the line is free.

Automatic Recall

Redial the last number that called your number.

Speed Calling

Program up to 30 numbers to dial with 2 digit codes. Feature works on the phone line; additional phones do not need to be programmed.

Voice Mail

Voice mail tied to your phone line does not depend on power, batteries, etc. Retrieve your messages easily on the go. Click here for instructions on how to use voice mail.

Wake-up Service

Schedule up to 2 wake up calls within 24 hours. Feature works if the power is out.

Long Distance Features

Long Distance Authorization

An authorization code is required to make long distance calls.

Toll Denial

Restrict 0+ and 1+ calls from being made from your phone.

Toll Restriction

Block long distance calling. Calling cards and "0" (operator) dialing allowed.

900 Unblocking

Unblock 900 numbers, which are blocked by default.

Privacy Features

Anonymous Call Rejection

Reject incoming calls which have name and number information blocked. The caller receives a message that you do not accept calls from private numbers.

Do Not Disturb

Program your line to block all incoming calls while outgoing calls are not affected. Calls are not directed to Voice Mail. Not compatible with Smart Block.

Non-Listed Number

Your number is not published in the phone book, but is available from Directory Assistance.

Non-Published Number

Your number is neither published in the phone book nor available from Directory Assistance.

Smart “Telemarketer” Block

Callers will hear a recording that you do not accept calls from telemarketers and will be instructed to press 1 if they are not a telemarketer to continue the call. Smart Block holds numbers that frequently call you in a queue. Selective Call Acceptance
Program your phone to accept only calls from a special list. All others will hear an announcement that you are not accepting calls. Available in local service area only.

Selective Call Rejection

Program your phone to block specified telephone numbers from calling you. Available in local service area only.

Protective Features

Inside Wire Maintenance (residential only)

This monthly plan covers the labor to repair and replace defective wiring on the inside of the home.

Warm Line

A designated number is dialed when the phone is left off the hook for a specified amount of time. Calls are subject to long distance charges.

Business Features

Additional Listing

Publish multiple listings for the same account in the Silver Star phone directory.

Call Transfer

Transfer calls to another phone line.

Conference Calling

Connect people in multiple locations on one call with toll-free number capability.

Directory Number Hunt

When the main line is busy, calls hunt sequentially to the next available line.

Distinctive Ring

Up to 4 phone numbers ring on the same line. Subsequent numbers are assigned a different ring pattern notifying you or a fax machine that a call is coming in on the other numbers. (Available with Call Waiting and Voice Mail)

Hot Line

When the handset is lifted, calls are routed directly to a predetermined number. Must pay base phone rate, and calls are subject to long distance charges.

Three-Way Calling

Connect 3 parties on one call. Subject to long distance charges.

Use toll-free numbers

for business and personal use: provide potential customers with a convenient way to contact you or allow a child to call home easily.

Number Referral and Suspend Options

Number Referral

This service enables you to keep your telephone number and listing in our directory. Callers will hear a recording referring to the new telephone number. Number can be suspended no more than 8 months in a 12 month period, not necessarily consecutive months. Once limit is reached, service is automatically reconnected.

Number Suspend

Voice: This service enables you to keep your telephone number and listing in our directory. Callers will hear a recording that your telephone number has been disconnected or is no longer in use. Number can be suspended no more than 8 months in a 12 month period, not necessarily consecutive months. Once limit is reached, service is automatically reconnected.

Internet and Television: This service temporarily disconnects your Internet or Television service. Service must be reactivated within one year. You may forward your Silver Star e-mail to another address during this time for an additional fee.

No ordinary voice mail service. With Silver Star’s voice mail, you have options to customize your calling preferences beyond the traditional answering machine. And, with Single Number Service you can use your landline and wireless mobile phone in conjunction with each other to give you ultimate flexibility.

E-Forward

With E-Forward you can check and manage your voice messages all from you email inbox. To sign up, please contact customer service.

Message Forwarding & Memo

You can forward a message you received to another mailbox number. When you forward a message, you may record an introduction to the message before it is forwarded.

Multiple Greeting

Multiple Greetings give you the flexibility of having multiple pre-recorded greetings to choose from.

Family Voice Mail - $6.95

Sub-Mailboxes

You can have up to 9 sub-mailboxes within the same Voice Mailbox. Each sub-mailbox will have a private greeting and PIN number. Your voice mailbox can even be configured to notify you which sub-mailbox has new messages waiting.

The Web Portal makes it easy to manage your voice mailbox from anywhere. Play messages, manage your greetings and receive notifications... all with the click of a mouse.

Single Number and Single Mailbox - $4.95

Callers can reach you by ringing up to 6 different numbers at once or at chosen intervals. You can select the order numbers are called, if they are rung in groups, and the number of seconds they ring before continuing the search. At the final number callers may leave a message. Comes with web portal.

Distribution Lists - $3.95

Allow you to set up lists and send mass messages. Contacting sports teams, volunteers and so on is very simple using this feature, especially with our new web portal. Limit of 9 lists and 100 numbers each.

Single Mailbox - $1.95

Share one mailbox between multiple phone numbers. Contact customer service to set up this feature. Voice Mail message waiting indication will only appear for Silver Star numbers.
