Location: Star Valley, WY
Role: Principally responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance and repair of local databases and associated servers that will serve our operational needs.
Essential Job Functions:
- Develops new database systems, and works to provide enhancements to currently deployed systems.
- Programming to allow web based access to database systems.
- Programming for other media center / next generation video applications
- Performs system administration, server repair and maintenance ensuring equipment is performing at maximum capabilities.
- Assist with installing and configuring new LAN servers and associated LAN server devices.
- Performs hardware, firmware and software installations, upgrades software vendor patches and antivirus updates to internal servers and LAN devices.
- Assist with network administration responsibilities within the dept, and Help Desk Escalations.
- Installs, tests, configures, upgrades and troubleshoots LAN server software applications and configurations.
- Obtains tracks and renews all software licenses and ensures systems are compliant with all software license agreements.
- Performs daily, weekly and monthly systems/data backups and restores data as needed.
- Responds to security notifications/incidents and takes appropriate action to isolate and eliminate all threats on servers and associated LAN equipment.
- Trains others on basic Internet security practices.
- Researches new technologies and products and provides recommendations.
- Keeps accurate documentation and completes necessary paperwork.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience / Requirements:
- Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in computer related field plus (10) years relevant experience; or the combination of education and experience that enables performance of all aspects of the position.
- (6) years of experience maintaining, upgrading and programming database access systems in a LAN environment. (Microsoft Certified Database Administrator or equivalent is desired)
- Extensive experience with SQL Server 2000 / 2008 , SharePoint Server 2007, ASP .NET, and other commonly used programming languages. Experience with Compellent SAN also a plus.

- Ability to hold a valid Wyoming or Idaho Driver’s License.
